STEM Go-Karts: Engineering Experience

The UK is the home of engineering for motorsport, with six of the ten F1 teams developing their vehicles here, because of the engineering design and development talent. Nurturing this, Southborough introduced our year 8 students to the theoretical and practical aspects of electric vehicles, with an exciting ’Go Kart’ day. Based in classrooms and in a pop-up track #stemkart (Big Bang Productions) explored some of the design and production stages, and then an opportunity to take some Go-Karts round the track!
