Year 12 geographers have been busy this term collecting lots of data for their upcoming Non-Examined Assessment (NEA) for A-Level Geography.  Last half term they have been on four field trips exploring the themes and concepts they have been studying in class.  First, they went to the West Sussex coastline to explore contrasting coastal processes and management strategies along West Witterings spit and the town of Worthing.  Then they visited Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park to analyse carbon storage in both urban green spaces, as well as studying how the Beverley Brook river changes downstream.  Next up were the two Human Geography field trips to see whether Dorking is a clone town and also to visit Spitalfields to evaluate the changes over time to see whether gentrification was a success.  The boys worked really hard on all field trips and collected some really reliable, accurate data and now they have this half term to write up their results constituting 20% of their overall grade.  Good luck Year 12!
