Southborough Students Investigate the Cambridge University Offer

A Visit to Homerton College

This June, a group of enthusiastic Southborough High School students had the exciting opportunity to visit Homerton College, University of Cambridge, as part of their outreach programme designed to inspire the next generation of scholars.

Located in the heart of Cambridge, Homerton is the university’s largest and one of its most inclusive colleges, with a strong focus on education, creativity, and community. Our students experienced a full day of activities that offered a real taste of university life. They toured the college’s beautiful grounds, explored lecture halls and accommodation, and engaged in interactive workshops that challenged their thinking and broadened their academic horizons.

The day was not only informative, but truly inspiring — students heard from current undergraduates and admissions staff, learning about the application process, subject choices, and the wide-ranging support available for students from all backgrounds.

The trip offered an invaluable glimpse into what’s possible with ambition, hard work, and curiosity. We’re proud of how our students represented Southborough and hope the visit encourages many of them to aim high and consider top universities like Cambridge in their future plans.
