Support and Guidance

Throughout their time in Sixth Form, students receive a robust level of guidance and support to help them decide which steps to take next, whether it’s university, an apprenticeship or full time employment.

Early in Year 12 students are taken around university fairs and encouraged to research and visit a variety of uni open days. Tutors provide one-to-one support with personal statements and references whilst students also have access to additional support, for example with interview techniques or through the use of our UniFrog app.

As a fully inclusive Sixth Form, we are well aware that not everyone wants to go to university after they have completed their A level/BTEC qualifications and, as a consequence, we also offer ongoing career advice on a variety of apprenticeship and full time employment opportunities.  This advice is offered/delivered to the students by our dedicated and qualified careers advisor or via the Head or Assistant Head of Sixth Form.
