The pupil premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
Pupil premium funding is available to both mainstream and non-mainstream schools, such as special schools and pupil referral units. It is paid to schools according to the number of pupils who have been:
- Registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years
- Who has left local authority care through adoption, a special guardianship order or child arrangements order.
Each year the school will receive:
£955 for each eligible pupil.
The academic and social development of our disadvantaged students has become a fundamental priority of the school and a main reason that early intervention is a one of the whole school priorities within our School Improvement Plan.
You will see below the spending reports for the last three academic years. You will also find attached our Pupil Premium Grant for 2019/20 and our PP Improvement Plan for 2020/21.
